Supervision, Training & Consultancy Services

Supervision

I see Supervision as an important part of our work, either as Counsellors or for those offering support at emotional depth to marginalised communities such as Case Workers, Nurses or Key Workers. For the employer, offering Supervision or Professional Development Groups ensures that you are looking after your employees. This will prevent staff suffering from vicarious trauma or burnout and will prevent staff sickness. Ensuring that you are offering the safest & best quality service to funders and the communities you serve.

I offer Supervision or Professional Development Groups to support other professionals in reflecting on their work, ensuring that they are delivering their work safely, and to support them to develop their work further. I am happy to offer Supervision on a one to one or in a group. I am also happy to offer Supervision through Skype or Vivo nationally or internationally.

Training & Consultancy

Since 1999, I have offered Training and Consultancy services locally & nationally within the statutory and voluntary sector, and internationally. This has included working with Local Authorities, the NHS, Metropolitan Police, Connexions, Mind, Secondary Schools & Youth Clubs. My greatest achievement is having the opportunity to deliver a workshop on Dealing with Difficult Emotions as part of the Happy Life Conference in Taipei.

This has included delivering workshops, training & consultancy on the themes of:

  • The Addictive Personality
  • Clinical Assessments
  • Diversity
  • How to speak to people living with infectious diseases
  • Motivational Interviewing
  • Sex & Relationship counselling to those living with multiple support needs
  • Sexuality & Sexual Expression
  • Sexual Health
  • Volunteer development
